In the summer heat, nothing is more important than your air conditioning system. You don’t want to worry whether your AC will keep the house cool all night long when you step into a sweltering house at the end of a long day at work or school. It’s challenging to keep your AC in tiptop shape all year round. After all, it’s constantly working hard to keep your home cool and comfortable in hot weather. There are simple things you can do now and throughout the rest of the summer to maintain your central air conditioner so that it doesn’t break down on hot days.

The paper is coated with a thin material reflecting heat away from the paper’s surface. This means that when the sun shines on the paper, it will reflect most of the sunlight and heat away instead of absorbing it. The researchers have also added a layer of nanoparticles to the paper that helps it to cool even further by absorbing heat from the air around it.

Stakeholders have utilized heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) to provide thermal comfort. A team led by Prof. Stefan Seelecke developed the novel air conditioning technology. The technology cools the air through the use of muscles. The muscles consists of nickel-titanium. Susanne Kirsch and Felix Welsch helped in the development of this system while doing a doctoral research project. Prof. Stefan Seelecke and his team from Saarland University have been advancing this cooling system. The cooling system saves energy and conserves the environment.

Liquid Desiccant Energy-efficient air conditioning is an innovative technology meant to save cost and energy by effectively controlling the humidity in the atmosphere. The liquid desiccant absorbs the moisture before cooling its dew point air since it comprises a concentrated salt solution. It works more effectively on hot-humid applications where Case doors do not allow condensation. Most industries will embrace the use of liquid desiccants due to the following reasons.

The EPA has decided to drastically cut potent greenhouse gases. The EPA says these chemicals, like hydro fluorocarbons (HFCs) and per fluorocarbons (PFCs), cause global warming by trapping heat in the Earth’s atmosphere. HFCs are used in air conditioners and refrigerators, while PFCs are used in the foam of every airplane and car. There is a four year grace period for companies that use these chemicals to adapt. Many people believe this action is too late, as measures to combat global warming should have been put in place a long time ago. It aims to reduce HFC production and usage in the United States by 85 percent over the next 15 years as part of a global phase out to combat global warming. By 2050, it is predicted to reduce harmful emissions by the equivalent of 4.5 billion metric tons of CO2, which is equivalent to three years’ worth of emissions from the US power sector. Over the next 30 years, switching to safer alternatives and more energy-efficient cooling systems is estimated to save more than $270 billion in costs and improve public health.
